Hi everyone!
Finally, a little break! 🍁 I hope you all enjoy your holidays, get some rest, and spend time doing whatever makes you happy! But before you completely forget about English (and me 😃), here’s a little reminder!
We’ll have our Colour Matters unit test in our third English lesson after the holidays. Don’t panic! We’ve already covered everything in class. You just need to spend a little time revising.
Vocabulary – Colours
* Colours, shades, and descriptive adjectives.
* Colour meanings and colour psychology.
* How to use the vocabulary naturally in sentences.
Grammar
* Articles: a, an, the and when to use them.
* Comparatives and superlatives: brighter, more interesting, the brightest, the most beautiful, etc.
* Parts of speech: Nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. Make sure you can recognise them in sentences. :)
Pronunciation
* The two pronunciations of the: /ðə/ and /ði/.
* Remember how the following sound changes the pronunciation, not just the letter!
Descriptive Paragraph
* How to organise a descriptive paragraph.
* Topic sentence, supporting details, and concluding sentence.
* Using descriptive adjectives and details to help your reader imagine what you’re describing.
And please, don’t forget our slides! We’ve spent quite a lot of time practising these things together, so nothing in the test should be completely new to you. Go through our slides, check the examples, and try some exercises again.

And remember what I always want from you: don’t just memorise the answers. Try to understand WHY we use something and HOW it works. That’s much more important to me.
