What are we doing this week?

This week, we will explore how technology has changed the world and how it might shape the future. We will talk about inventions from the past, today’s technology, and ideas about the future.

What will we do in class?

-Watch a short video about technological development

-Choose inventions from the past, present, and future

-Work in pairs and groups to discuss our ideas

-Share opinions and make predictions about future technology

-What language will we practise?

-Talking about the future using will / won’t

-Using time expressions (e.g. in the future, in 2040)

-Learning new vocabulary connected to technology and innovation

What should you know if you are absent?

The main topic is The World of the Future

-Focus on understanding the video and the idea of past → present → future

-Try to practise making future predictions using will

-Key vocabulary will be shared in class and on the slides

What is the goal of the week?

By the end of the week, you should be able to:

-talk about technology in different time periods

-express your opinion about future developments

-use new vocabulary to explain your ideas
