I can talk about unusual ways of getting to school.
Hello everyone!
We have started a new topic – UNIT 2 On my way!
-
we are talking about different ways of getting to school (Student's book p. 17,20/Workbook p. 16).
We usually go to school by bus, ride a bike, ride our scooters or go by car. This is typical for us in Kunratice. But it can be A MAJOR CHALLENGE to get to school.
We talked about how children go to school around the world./Povídali jsme si o tom, jak chodí děti do školy po celém světě. - We recalled vocabulary from previous years/Připomněli jsme si slovní zásobu z minulých let (car, bus, train, play, bike, boat…)
- We learned new vocabulary /Představili jsme si novou slovní zásobu (bike bus, cabin cars, zipline, subway...)
What are we going to do at school?
- learn new words to describe geographical features
- talk about different ways of getting to school
- revise Present Simple (do/does/don't/doesn't)
- use prepositions of movement to give directions
- talk about long journeys
- watch a video and read about The Sami and the reindeer
- talk about imaginary places we'd like to live
- revise ordinal numbers and the months of the year
